MIRIYALA CHARU OR PEPPER SOUP ( broth):

To prepare miriyala charu powder:

Ingredients:



coriander seeds -1/2cup

red gram -1/2 cup

bengalgram(pachisenagapappu)-1/4cup

blackgram -1/4cup

pepper -1tbsp

cumin seeds -1/4cup

curry leaves -1cup

garlic - 2(large)


How To Make:

1.First roast all above ingredients without oil except garlic.

2.Then grind roasted ingredients with garlic flakes.

3.Now store powder in an air tight container.

TO PRAPARE PEPPER SOUP:

Ingredients:

Water -4 cups

Turmeric (pasupu) -pinch

Coriander leaves(kothimeera) for garnishing –finely chopped

Tamarind (chintapandu) - ½ lemon measurement

Pepper(miriyalu) soup powder -1tbsp

Onion (lasun) -1(small) thinly sliced

Tomato -2(large) thinly sliced

For tempering/poppu/tadka/talimpu/seasoning:

11/2 tbsp oil

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp split black gram dal

4-5 dried red chillies (tear into pieces)

8 curry leaves

How To Make:

1. Heat oil in one pan add poppu or tadka once splutters add Water -4 cups,Turmeric (pasupu) -pinch,Coriander leaves(kothimeera) for garnishing –finely chopped,Tamarind (chintapandu) - ½ lemon measurement, Pepper(miriyalu) soup powder -1tbsp, Onion (lasun) -1(small) thinly sliced,Tomato -2(large) thinly sliced .cook it for 7 or 8 min on medium heat.

2.Remove from heat serve hot with white rice .
